The U.S. Green Building Council is the nation's foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work. The L.E.E.D system is a self-assessing system designed for rating new and existing commercial, institutional, and high-rise residential buildings. It evaluates environmental performance from a "whole building" perspective over a building's life cycle, providing a definitive standard for what constitutes a green building.
The PBA team is familiar with and will employ when appropriate, strategies to incorporate the intent of Executive Orders 13101- Greening the Government through Waste Prevention, and 13123 – Greening the Government through Efficient Energy Management during project development. Other initiatives, including Department of Energy standards, are included in the firm's database.
